Sheaffer is a mother, doula, midwifery student, and a birth assistant in and around Santa Fe & Albuquerque. Her path to birth work has been informed by her own birth and mothering journey. As a homebirth mama herself, she was initially inspired to support families in the postpartum, and has followed the call to midwifery so that she is able to participate in offering options for those seeking autonomous birth choices. She is a childbirth educator who focuses on heart centered and intuitive birthing practices, and considers the childbearing year to be a highly transformative experience full of wisdom and growth for families and birth attendants alike. When not attending births, she is homeschooling her children, studying midwifery, growing a garden, and teaching prenatal and postpartum yoga classes.
